Terms of Service

1.Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information from younger users.

2.Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password and two-factor authentication device secure. Two-factor authentication is required. Do not share your account, and tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

3.Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service — including any server listing, banner image, description, name, review, or linked server IP — to post, host, promote, or facilitate:

• illegal content or activity of any kind, or content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or other rights;
• malware, phishing, IP-grabbers, credential harvesting, or servers / addresses whose purpose is to compromise, defraud, or attack visitors;
• sexually explicit or pornographic material (NSFW content), or content that sexualises minors;
• harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, or content that targets a person or group with abuse;
• spam, misleading listings, vote manipulation, artificial traffic, or attempts to game rankings, reviews, or the voting system;
• attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.

We may remove any content and suspend any account that we reasonably believe breaks these rules, with or without notice.

4.Your content and the licence you grant us

You keep ownership of everything you submit — your server names, descriptions, banner images, and reviews (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it.

So that we can actually run the directory, you grant mcserverhub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, reproduce, and display Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service (for example, showing your banner on the directory and your listing in search results). This licence lasts only as long as your content is on the Service; it ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in routine backups for a limited period, or where we must keep something to comply with the law.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights to submit it and to grant this licence — for instance, that you own or are licensed to use any banner artwork you upload.

5.Copyright, DMCA, and takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] that includes:

• your name and contact details;
• identification of the copyrighted work and the specific URL or listing you say infringes it;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, the law, or its agent;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing content, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. We also accept general abuse and takedown requests (illegal content, malware, harassment) at that address and act on them at our discretion.

6.Third-party servers and links

mcserverhub is a directory. The Minecraft servers listed here are operated by their owners, not by us. We do not control, host, endorse, or guarantee any listed server, its availability, its conduct, its chat, its rules, its economy, or how it treats you or your data. When you connect to a listed server or follow a link (a website, Discord invite, or vote reward), you do so at your own risk and under that third party’s terms. Live status, uptime, and player counts are collected automatically on a best-effort basis and may be inaccurate or delayed.

7.Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, mcserverhub and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any third-party server listed on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim — which for free use is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

8.Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your listings or account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users.

9.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB / Mojang Synergies AB. mcserverhub is an independent directory and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Mojang or Microsoft — as noted in the footer on every page. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
